Miss Idaho 2013 Sarah Downs Needs Your Help!!
Dear Gem County,
This September I will be representing Idaho in the Miss America Scholarship Program! I am so excited to have the amazing opportunity to earn scholarships and to spend time with the other amazing girls who are competing. On September 15th, after two weeks of events in Atlantic City, a new Miss America will be crowned based on a personal interview, talent performance, swimwear competition, evening gown portion, and onstage question, and she will promote her platform and be the national ambassador for Children’s Miracle Network during her year of service.
The Miss America Organization is the number one scholarship provider for young women in the world. Millions of dollars are awarded to further women’s education every year, and all contestants have a chance to earn scholarship money at the local state, and national levels. This wonderful opportunity would cease to exist without the support of generous businesses, family, and friends. By donating to me through the Miss Idaho Scholarship Program, you are promoting scholarship, community service, talent, and public speaking/interview skills.
My year will be spent preparing fot he Miss America Pageant, promoting my personal platform (Promoting Nutrition: Taking Back Our Health), working to spread the reach of our local programs, including Miss Gem County, and making public appearances at community events all over the state. As Miss Idaho and a role model, I need to look my best and have the resources to travel to make the biggest impact possible. Below is a list of specifically- needed items for my year of service:
