Women In Business

Women In Business is a colaboration between the Gem County Chamber of Commerce and KeyBank in Emmett.

WIB in Emmett evolved from an original KeyBank program called Key4Women designed to acknowledge and assist women business owners.

WIB is open to all women of Emmett and Gem County. There are usually about four WIB events each year ranging from seminars to social trips to the theatre.

We've had lunch meetings with empowering speakers who taught methods to improve our business and personal lives. Many luncheons saw 40 - 60 women in attendance. Attendees met for lunch having an opportunity to socialize and network in a casual business setting.

KeyBank, the presenting sponsor, gave gifts to WIB attendees and provided current, relevant information to WIB ladies.

Much was learned and many new friendships forged.

From the original quarterly meetings emerged a new WIB....the WIB "Outing". Over 50 women gathered in July 2008 to attend the play "Menopause". We had hors d'voures and wine at KeyBank before leaving for the event at the Nampa Civic Center.

Taking up two entire rows, WIB women laughed and related to the play and each other bonding as women and friends.

WIB women come from all walks of life and all ages. It's a chance to talk about women's issues, network with women and most importantly, laugh and enjoy exceptional experiences with other women.
