Emmett Cherry Festival

Since the 1930's, the community of Emmett and all of Gem County has gathered each June to celebrate the abundance of our valley. We celebrate with 'The Emmett Cherry Festival' and it is the regions longest, continually running festival.

The Emmett Cherry Festival is always held the during the second full week of June. Events run throughout the community over 8 days of celebration and fun. The traditional Cherry Festival events, concerts and carnival all happen in the Emmett City Park starting on Wednesday through Saturday.

Families gather, friends reunite and over 40,000 folks get together over the four days for the greatest family-friendly event in Idaho!

Of the many, many things that set's the Emmett Cherry Festival apart from other events, most notably is the abundance of FREE activities and FAMILY-FRIENDLY activities.

Each day of the Emmett Cherry Festival is special.
Wednesday, "Family Day" - Bring the family down to the park starting at 11 am. Food & Expo Vendors will be opening today with tastey delights and fantastic items for sale.

The official Opening Ceremony for the annual Emmett Cherry Festival kicks off at 5:00 pm with area dignitaries and a spectacular and entertaining extravaganza. Enjoy family-friendly activities throughout the day with entertainment from local favorites like the Gem Cloggers and an amazing concert to close the evening.

Thursday, - Entertainment continues throughout the day with special surprises and giveaways from the stage.

Friday, "Emmett Huskie Day" - Celebrate our Home Town spirit. All day long, great entertainment awaits you. And, of course, don't forget to watch the Kid's Parade starting at 6:30pm.

Saturday, - A very "Cherry" day with tons of activities. Get to the park early to watch the Fireman Hose Competition at 10am. It is held on Main Street by the EMS building. The Great Cherry Bake-Off has become an annual favorite with goodies of every kind....all with a Cherry-theme!

Cherry Pie Eating has has never been so fun! The Cherry Pie Eating Contest gets started at 3 pm. There is an age-appropriate category for everyone in the family. What fun!
